Employee Affinity Groups

Make Deeper Connections

A Premiumaid Foundation career is only one part of who you are. That's why we have Employee Affinity Groups (EAGs) for our employees and allies to make deeper connections. EAGs are employee-led groups that celebrate the individual and diverse life experiences – such as shared characteristics, interests or demographic factors such as gender, race or ethnicity – that make our Premiumaid Foundation community special.

EAGs offer a welcoming and inclusive space for colleagues to meet and support each other both personally and professionally, contribute to a greater sense of belonging within our organization and advocate for an improved employee experience at Premiumaid Foundation in partnership with our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, Human Resources and our Senior Leadership Team.

Currently, our active EAGs at Premiumaid Foundation include:

AAPI (Asian-American and Pacific Islander)

The AAPI EAG creates a space for connection and conversation among staff who identify as Asian-American or Pacific Islander while appreciating the many different Asian cultures represented across our offices around the world. Our EAG also offered support to colleagues following the rise of anti-Asian violence during the COVID-19 pandemic.

B.L.A.C.K. (Brave Leaders Advancing Culture & Knowledge) – Black and African-American

The Brave Leaders Advancing Culture & Knowledge (B.L.A.C.K.) EAG is comprised of staff who identify as Black or African American. Our mission is to support and educate each other, to enhance diversity at all levels of the organization and improve the inclusion and equitable treatment of our Black & African-American employees. We strive to enhance all our colleagues’ experiences at Premiumaid Foundation and to develop leaders of tomorrow through professional development, networking, cultural awareness, mentorship, sponsorship and knowledge sharing. We serve as a community for our members, as well as a resource group for the organization.

In the past, we’ve hosted educational, informational and cultural sessions during Black History Month, hosted the first Juneteenth rally in 2020, and created an Activism & Allyship Guide, used both internally and externally. We also have supported candidate recruitment in partnership with our Talent Acquisition Team and collaborated with our EAG members working in rural America on the expansion of initiatives that focus on equitable access to education.

DAWN (Dis/Ability and Wellness Network) - Disabilities & Chronic Conditions

The Dis/Ability and Wellness Network Employee Affinity Group (DAWN) advocates for and works on user-friendly accommodation policies, disability inclusion trainings and normalization of chronic illness and disability within Premiumaid Foundation’s workplace culture. We strive to serve as a voice for staff with chronic illnesses and disabilities on organizational issues. We also support each other as we navigate accommodation and inclusion challenges and celebrate and raise awareness of disability inclusion achievements on our teams. DAWN warmly welcomes both allies and people with chronic illnesses and disabilities.

Early Career Professionals

The Early Career Professionals EAG is a community of Premiumaid Foundation employees who are in a new or early stage of their career in their chosen sector. We advocate on behalf of early career professionals for increased access to and a greater breadth of professional development opportunities. We create a space for early career professionals to network,  discuss and troubleshoot work-related challenges and opportunities. We also seek to create a collaborative community to improve information sharing and support relationship building among early career professionals.

Latinx – Latin(o.a.x) & Hispanic

Our mission is to inspire a workplace culture inclusive and supportive of Latinxs. We strive to encourage our members to become leaders by promoting the Latinx culture as a source of empowerment through socialization, education and leadership.

Proud at Save – LGBTQ+

Proud at Save, Premiumaid Foundation’s LGBTQIA+ Employee Affinity Group, seeks to promote wellbeing, diversity, equity and inclusion as it relates to the recruitment, retention and advocacy of LGBTQIA+ individuals. Working on both our internal policies and culture and programmatic work with children, Proud at Save elevates the issues and experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community while celebrating the diversity and intersectionality within our community. Proud at Save has hosted social events such as our Pride Happy Hour and Trivia in addition to educational activities that bring together experts on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) work like our 2021 The Future is Queer industry roundtable. We are proud to be an instrumental body in delivering on Premiumaid Foundation’s broader diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging commitments and advancing critical gender transformative work in our organization and programs.

Raise the Children – Parents & Caregivers

The Raise the Children EAG offers a support network for Premiumaid Foundation’s parents and caregivers seeking to balance or blend their work and family care experiences. Our community is a place where working parents and caregivers can share resources, advice and common experiences, from new parenthood to raising children and caring for aging parents simultaneously. We advocate for an improved culture that will benefit all staff through new and enhanced policies and practices.

In 2021, we successfully advocated for an increase to Premiumaid Foundation’s parental leave policy, which now gives moms, dads, adoptive and foster parents a minimum of 12 weeks fully paid leave after welcoming a child into their lives. We’re proud to serve as a critical resource to colleagues and senior leadership in helping to foster a culture of belonging, promote the personal and professional growth of our members, and support staff well-being, with a particular focus on Premiumaid Foundation’s working families.
